Board Elections & Appointments
Clayton Valley Charter High School (CVCHS) is seeking to fill four upcoming vacancies (Community, Parent, Staff and Teacher Representative). The Community, Parent and Staff positions will each have a term from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2029, on the CVCHS Governing Board. The Teacher Representative role will be for a term from December 10, 2025 to December 31, 2027. CVCHS parents are eligible for the elected Parent Representative or the appointed Community Representative position. Teachers are eligible for the elected Staff Representative or the appointed Teacher Representative position. Although candidates may have dual eligibility, they are only able to apply for one role. Candidates must be committed to the mission and vision of CVCHS. All Board Members are volunteers and serve without compensation.
All potential candidates must attend a Mandatory Candidate Training. The third and final training offered will be held in the CVCHS Library on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Please RSVP to the CVCHS Board Secretary.
Interested individuals for the Parent, Community and Staff Representative positions must complete and submit their application by Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 11:59 PM PDT. Interested individuals for the Teacher Representative position must submit their application by Monday, October 6, 2025 at 11:59 PM PDT. Applications must be emailed to the CVCHS Board Secretary.
The Election Committee will review applications and refer eligible applicants to the Board. The Governing Board will then conduct interviews with candidates at the regularly scheduled Board meeting on November 12, 2025.
Voting for the Parent and Staff Representatives will take place on campus on December 9, 2025. The Board will announce election results and vote on appointed Community and Teacher Representative candidates at its December 10, 2025, public meeting.
