CVCHS IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE COLLEGE-BOUND DAY!
Clayton Valley Charter High School is proud to announce the first annual College-Bound Day for all students! On October 16, 2019, CVCHS students will spend the day focused on activities related to their post-high school experience. Each class will engage in a different activity as follows:
Freshmen: All Freshmen will visit one of several colleges around Northern California. Students will learn about the day and which colleges will be visited during their September 17th Link Crew/PE day where they will have an opportunity to list their preferred schools.
Sophomores: All Sophomores will take the Pre-ACT test. The Pre-ACT test simulates the college-entrance ACT testing experience within a shorter test window on all four ACT test subjects: English, math, reading, and science. This test predicts future success on the ACT test and provides both current achievement and projected future ACT test scores on the 1-36 ACT score scale.
Juniors: All Juniors will take the PSAT (Pre-SAT) test. The PSAT test simulates the college-entrance SAT testing experience. Additionally, PSAT scores are used to identify National Merit Scholars and award merit scholarships for students taking the test in their Junior year.
Seniors: All Seniors will engage in a series of college-bound workshops. These include support and help in filling out applications, writing their personal statements, Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms, and more.
