On this page you will information on the following items that will help you navigate your way through our benefits information and other Human Resources related topics.

This section will give general information on all the benefits offered by Clayton Valley Charter High School.  Clayton Valley Charter High School provides full dental, vision and a $25,000 Life Insurance Policy to all employees. CVCHS subsidizes the cost of the medical plans as outlined on our Benefits Enrollment/Change Forms.

Benefit changes are made only during open enrollment, unless you are experiencing a "qualifying event" as outlined below. It is important to notify Human Resources prior to accessing your account on VBAS to make any changes to your benefit plan.

"Qualifying Events":
- Death or Birth
- Marriage
- Loss/Change of Employment

To enroll or make changes to your benefits, please follow these steps.

  1. Complete appropriate Benefits Selection Form (see below) with your new benefit coverage.
  2. Log-in to your account and make the desired changes to your benefit coverage (see log-in instructions above)
  3. Print out the Benefits Cost Summary after submitting your changes on  
  4. Submit your updated Benefits Selection Form (see below) and Benefit Cost Summary from VBAS to the HR Office.

* Please note that Charter Life may require you to provide proof of your "Qualifying Event" before changes to your benefit coverage can be confirmed.

Delta Dental:

Dental benefits are provided through Delta Dental.

Convenient Online Services:

Create a free online services account to view benefits, eligibility and claims status. Online accounts can be created by visiting Below you will find benefit information, in addition to NEW ENROLLMENT & CHANGE Forms.

To enroll or make changes to your Delta Dental benefits, please follow these steps.

  1. Complete a Delta Dental NEW ENROLLMENT or CHANGE FORM.
  2. Be sure to include all information, including Social Security numbers and birthdates for all enrollees.
  3. Drop off or email completed form to the Human Resources Dept. Email to

Flex Spending Accounts:
Flex Spending Accounts provide a cost shelter to pay for "medically necessary" and dependent needs with pre-tax dollars. To enroll for a Flex Spending Account, just sign on to VBAS during the open enrollment period and follow the step-by-step instructions (See below for more information on FSA and for enrollment).
