An essential connection exists between a healthy diet, physical fitness, and a student’s ability to learn effectively and achieve high standards. Schools play a vital role in providing a solid foundation for students’ future health and well-being, and CVCHS has adopted nutrition and physical activity goals, nutrition standards for all foods available on the school campus during the school day, goals for other school-based activities designed to promote student wellness, and goals for measurement and evaluation.
Beginning with the 2022-23 School Year, California will provide breakfast and lunch for free to all students regardless of economic status. Students may also qualify for SATs and ACTs, free college applications, reduced rates for internet service, and more. Please fill out the National School Lunch Program application linked below. This application allows CVCHS to access additional state or federal funding for enhanced educational programming. To qualify for the P-EBT federal assistance program, families must register at CVCHS through the application to receive any funds that are part of the P-EBT federal program.
