Specialized Academic Support Classroom

A Special Day Class (SDC) for students who benefit from additional academic support and instruction in a smaller, structured classroom setting. The program meets students where they are in their academic journey and provides individualized instruction designed to help each student make meaningful progress toward their academic and transition goals.

Students receive specialized instruction in English, Math, History, and Science, with curriculum and supports adapted to their individual learning needs. Students also have opportunities to participate in general education electives and engage in school activities alongside their peers.

Students receive instruction in:

  • Modified English Language Arts
  • Modified Math
  • Modified History
  • Modified Science
  • General Education Inclusion Electives – 2 electives

Students in this classroom receive a modified curriculum and, upon graduation from high school, may receive a Certificate of Completion or California Authorized Alternative Diploma, as appropriate.
